The Israeli SOS Center for Violence Studies is dedicated to providing students and teachers with tools for coping with school violence. Our mission is strengthening the fiber of society through reducing violence and creating a safer and calmer school environment.

The Israeli SOS Center for Violence Studies is based on the German Academy for Violence Prevention (Gewalt Akademie Villigst) model implemented effectively in Germany nation-wide by regional authorities, in schools, youth centers, community police and others.

The Israeli SOS Center provides academic pre-service teachers’ courses, in-service teachers’ training and workshops for parents and students at all levels of the Israeli education system. Class workshops are monitored and evaluated. Cooperation and exchange of knowledge between the academy, colleagues, and students’ and parents’ committees is promoted.
